How it Works
Simply drag the ProVTR plug-in into your Adobe Premiere Plug-Ins folder, and connect the Pipeline Digital "Computer-to-VTR" cable between your computer's serial port and the serial port on your deck. Select ProVTR as your device controller, and you'll have control of your VTR from Premiere's Movie Capture window. Time code is automatically stamped on your captured clips. When you are finished with your project, export your movie back to tape with complete deck control, like a traditional analog editor. Now, you can have the power of a studio on your desktop!

Pipeline ProVTR 7.3 can be used with Premiere Pro,CS2 and now CS3 on the Windows XP Platform, and Premiere versions 5, 6, and 6.5 on the Windows 95, 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP
VTRs used with Pipeline ProVTR must conform to one of the following control protocols:
- Sony RS-422 (based on the UVW-1800 and DVW-A500)
- Sony RS-232 (based on the SVO-2100 with SVBK-10 remote control option)
- Sony RS-232 UVW (based on the UVW-1400)
- Addenda RS-4/L (a LANC interface adapter)
- Panasonic RS-232 (based on the AJ-D230 with RS-232 option,)
- Panasonic RS-422 (derivitive of Sony RS-422, based on the AG-DS850)
- JVC RS-232 (based on the SR-S365U)
- TAO L-Port RS-422 (a LANC interface adapter)
Sony LANC decks require the Addenda Electronics RS-4/L, TAO Systems TAO L-Port.
RS-232 protocol decks require an RS-422 to RS-232 adapter. Refer to the accessories section of the Order Page for details.
Print to Tape accuracy depends on the VTR and the Digitizer card. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your system, and it's accuracy.
Software Only Notice
ProVTR requires the Pipeline Digital (Com Port) to RS-422 device cable. For Windows we support the Addenda line of RS-232 to RS-422 cables. Specifically:
CW9 RS-232 to RS-422 remote cable
Addenda Electronics:
RS-2/3 RS-2/4 RS-2/8 RS-232 ro RS-422 remote cable
Unless you have another Pipeline Digital product that came this cable you can not order the software only versions.
